Holy Trinity’s Racial Equity Initiative Goals
The HTLC Racial Equity Initiative (REI) will
Develop a church wide program of education promoting awareness and understanding of white privilege and white supremacy and the historic and current role played by the Lutheran Church in the enslavement, persecution, and undermining of Black people, Indigenous people, and other people of color.
Provide opportunities and resources for all at HTLC to work towards the dismantling of white supremacy in the church and the promotion of racial justice in society.
Explore the intersectionality of other forms of injustice (ageism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc.) and work to uproot them from ourselves and our church.
